Laura Nottingham
Laura has been a key member of our culinary team since 1979. Her credentials include a certificate in the science of baking from the American Institute of Baking and advanced pastry studies at the well-respected culinary school of Elgin Community College.
Culinary philosophy: “Make the dining experience memorable. Use a variety of colors and flavors to entice diners and keep them interested.”
Favorite style of food: “I enjoy all styles of cooking. One of the great things about working at Q Center is the variety of cuisines we serve. I have been given the opportunity to practice what I know and also learn about other styles of cooking.”
Top chef: “Each chef has his or her own style and flair, which I admire. There’s always something to learn. I really admire Wolfgang Puck for his demeanor and grand passion for cooking.”
Proudest career moment: “I have had so many opportunities at Q Center to use my abilities as a chef – it’s hard to pick one moment as the proudest. We are always challenged to be creative. ”
