Director of Catering Operations

CJ Jahanbani

As the person who directs day-to-day operations of our Catering team, CJ is responsible for making sure all Special Events at Q Center are delivered flawlessly. Prior to joining the Q team, CJ had 23 years of experience in restaurants, fine dining, and catering with various large hotel chains.

 Service goal: “Our goal in Catering Operations is to provide a memorable experience for our guests. Efficiency and effectiveness are certainly important, but the key is making sure we treat guests with warmth and hopitality.” 

Service philosophy: “I have found throughout my career that consistency is the key to success. When you are able to produce a superior product, and consistently deliver it with the highest standards of service, you will always be successful.”

Proudest Career Moments: “I had the honor of helping to establish a Chicagoland Banquet Maître d’ Council for a large hotel chain. I’m very passionate about high-quality service, so I’m also proud of my role in designing and delivering training seminars on catering service excellence.”

 Top Chef: “Wolfgang Puck. I admire the fact that throughout his very long career he has managed to remain both a successful Chef and a successful entrepreneur.”
