thanks for the reply. we live in lake city fl in a rural area that is adjacent to the oceola national forest. our pond has gone dry 3 times so far but this time it has stayed down for several months. any help or referals or suggestions that you have would be greatly apperciated. we have a pond that is one and half acres. the drought has completly dried the pond but the muck is still wet from the water level that is just below the surface of the muck. the muck is about 4 feet deep. we hired a track hoe to dig the muck out and he bogged right in and could not do anything to help. he offered to rent a larger track hoe[55 ft reach] but we are sure it would also bog in. do you have any suggestions for us. we probably could not afford to pay a dragline to come here, but it would probably work. is there any other way? we can send pictures if it would help. thanks for any suggestions.
